Sounds like it'd be a snark fest, but actually this is a fair & well-informed take on JH's recent brand/career missteps.

Back in the days when underground still existed. I played alot shows with Joe when he came to Europe.
He’s the sort of person you wouldn’t want to spend more than 10 minutes in a room with. We’ve become good friends.

More attempted music - new video up!
This one's just me, me, and me, covering a song that was or should have been on the Gump soundtrack.
Just added to the #vinyl collection. I honestly can’t say I know their other albums. The irony does not escape me: I never got passed this one bc it is so good

Linux audio help? I’ve never tried a toot like this before, and maybe no one will even see it, but worth a try…
I have a lot of FLAC files, mostly ripped from my CD collection, though recently, as better than CD quality files have become more available, I sometimes do buy album downloads.
Anyway, I would like to copy a bunch of tracks to my phone to listen to on shuffle, but they have varying volume levels. I tried copying some to a folder on my Debian workstation, from recent Kpop (very loud) to New Wave ripped from CDs that I bought in the ‘80s (very quiet), and everything in between. I then ran normalize-audio on them, which did, indeed, normalize the volume levels nicely.
It also stripped out all existing tags such as Artist and Title.
Does anyone have any suggestions for normalizing the volume while retaining the existing metadata? Thanks in advance for any tips! (And boosts are welcome.)

The Unknown Soldier - Babylon's Gifts
Don't really know much about this, except it featured on Interstellar Fugitives 2. Doesn't even appear on his Discogs page.
But just so good. I can't stop listening. Dark, sci-fi sound.
Turn of the century classic
Heard it EVERYWHERE back in the day
Even topped the main charts I think
Roger Sanchez - Another Chance
And of course, how can this masterpiece be absent from this playlist:
Frankie Knuckles feat Jamie Principle - Your Love
I mean like, it's as close to perfect as any record can be. Sublime. Timeless. Still magnificent now almost 40 years later.
❤️
Another absolute classic:
CeCe Rogers - Someday
Produced by Marshall Jefferson in 1987. Feels like we're now getting further and further away from his dream as the years go by.
E'voke - Arms of Loren (Steinway Mix)
This was banged out on the radio pretty much every night back then.
Feels like being 15 again ❤️
90s classic:
Aftershock - Slave to the Vibe (12" Club Mix)
And another:
Robin S - Show Me Love (Stonebridge Club Mix)
So good. Iconic sound.
OK one more from back then:
Todd Terry feat Shannon - It's Over Love
One of my favourite tracks really.
Incredible track from one of the originators:
Reese - Bassline
So funky, such a groove, so uplifting. Reese aka Kevin Saunderson aka The Elevator. From 91 maybe.
LOVE Kevin Saunderson. One of my favourite musicians, his works had a big impact on me.
❤️
And another from Saunderson, here with Santonio Echols:
Reese & Santonio - Forcefield
From 88 but just sounds timeless, like it could have been made now. Hypnotic. Dark. Funk. Blows me away how good this is.

Jamiroquai - Space Cowboy (Morales Classic Club Mix)
Oh my. So good. Absolute classic. Sublime.
Junior Jack - Stupidisco
So good. Summer party time. Instant rewind.
Another one from Junior Jack
Junior Jack - See You Dancin
Joyful, uplifting, beautiful track ❤️
