some folks over at hackernews postulate that resisting the vibe coding movement is gatekeeping. well, maybe it is. just the gate’s not a gate—it’s a boundary people maintain for their own sanity.

@k60 you don't check binaries into version control, and you shouldn't check in slop in either. It's a temporary technical limitation that has people treating binaries like source code when it's simply not fit for human consumption, any more a binary blob from an optimizing compiler is expecting a human reader to nitpick register choices.
